ISLAMABAD -- The Annual Plan for 2011-12 has been designed on the framework of Three-Year Plan (2011-14), which envisages major reforms in the economy to boost private sector investment- domestic as well as foreign -removal of distortions in the economy, undertake reforms in fiscal sector which include elimination of subsidies and restructuring of loss-making public sector entities.According to a pre-budget document released by the Planning Commission ,the Plan also visulaizes improving governance and strengthening institutions which are also the overarching objectives of the annual as well as medium term plans.The Annual Plan 2011-12 will set the platform for accelerated growth of the economy which will reduce fiscal and current account deficits, improve employment opportunities and reduce poverty. The Annual Plan for 2010-11 envisaged to regain macroeconomic stability and steady economic growth amid signs of global economic recovery.
